Hi, Yep I'm another eager college grad who wants to sail the world. Ive co-owned a 20" catamaran with a friend and we spent many days on our local lake practicing our sailing skills, also I've been whale watching on a 40' charter vessel. so I'm pretty much a newbie to long distance cruising, but I'm ready. I worked as a craftsman in college, and also as an assistant to solar electrical systems installer. My ability to evaluate and manage projects is probably my best asset, I'm also a good chef and i am also ready to help secure funding for a longer voyage. Ive got a lot of free time starting in January and would be stoked to spend the time on a pacific crossing. My temperament is pretty calm and i have a pretty witty sense of humor, but i don't talk a lot. I work as a commodities trader right now and I'm looking to meet up on a weekend or two with potential mates before we make any solid plans. but if we talk on the phone a bit, i could be down to go at the drop of a hat. peace. |

I recently crewed for a friend on his 27ft Cho-Lee. We broght her from Puerto Escondido, BCS to La Paz, Mexico. In my home, Alaska, I work on the state ferry system. These are not sail boats, of course, but this work has accostomed me to some of the joys and deprivations of ship life. I enjoyed the trip from Escondido so much that now I am looking for pretty much the quickest way to get back on a sail boat and sail some more. I am in Mexico for at least a couple of months and Cuba sounds to me an interesting desination, but really, I would consider any trip of 1 week or more. Happy sailing and hope to hear from you soon. ps - I have some mechanical skills/experience. Can perform basic maintenance on motors, am not afraid to get oily/dirty/go up the mast/etc. |

At the moment I'm in N. Thailand. I'm seeking a crew position long term or short. I'll be free until April 2012 when I return to work in New Mexico. I've sailed twice from Phuket to Sri Lanka. Two summers ago I sailed from the USA to the Azores on a 48 foot Halberg-Rassy. Three years ago I crewed on a 60' carbon fiber racing trimaran crossing the Pacific Ocean from the Galapagos to New Zealand via the Marquesas and Cook Islands. We did it in a brisk 40 days (believe it or not! it's true) and what a trip it was! I have a valid US passport and many references; I am fit, drug free, non-smoking. I'm attentive, reliable & easy to get along with. I enjoy fishing, can cook and don't mind washing dishes! References available on request. Email address: tropicalboogie@hotmail.com website: www.rgetty.com. On my website you can read my complete maritime resume. Thanks for your kind interest, Randy Getty |

I have no experience on sea, I am here to pick some up for the future, as well as to travel to where I would like to be. I am a 22 year old male in great health, I am very versatile, and can learn anything necessary to make the voyage a success. I have no interest in earning any money for this crewing your vessel, I would like to earn my transit through my work on board. If you sail with me, you will not regret it. I will not encroach on your personal space, and I am able to adapt to almost any environment. See you on the seas! Damian |

When going to Hawaii a skipper should plan well in advance. Knowing your crew, both from experience and personality is important. I have sailed from Florida to the Virgin Islands, much of the Caribbean and across the Atlantic with the ARC Group. I have taking all the mono-hull ASA courses including passagemaking. The best time to go to Hawaii is in May (so next year). If you are doing long term planning then lets discuss your trip early and get started now. John |

Woman seeks sailmate to share a very slow circumnavigation Looking for a man who has the freedom to let the winds be our guide aboard a sailboat while exploring the world slowly. Though flexible, my dream is 3 years on The Med, +/-12 years to complete the circle, then retire to the rivers and canals of Europe. I am a 62 year old woman, retired surgeon, 5'8", long blond hair, blue eyes, sensual, sensuous, excellent cook, speak French and Spanish, happiest when learning, resilient and always up for a good laugh. If you are a blue water sailor and have the means to share the expenses of a very comfortable sailboat and lifestyle while enjoying the romance of sharing the adventure, contact me at to.travel.by.sail@gmail.com |

I grew up water skiing on the lakes of Northern California and I have a lot of experience captaining a ski boat/houseboat. I do not have as much experience sailing. I sailed around the Whitsundays over a year ago for a couple of days and I decided that I wanted to own my own sailboat and sail around the world. I want to learn how to sail so I can make this a reality. I am great on the water, I am physically fit and I have never been seasick. I am eager to learn and I would love an opportunity. |

Hi! I couldn't be happier other than on a boat. I have 4 years of competitive sailing on dinghys at Eckerd College in FL, and also about a year of Melges 24 experience. I also was crew on a 135-foot schooner sailing from Hawaii to Tahiti in 2009. I enjoy calling wind and swells, hiking, and I eagerly want to learn to perform foredeck. Nothing beats sailing in my book, and I have a competitive nature! A pleasant person, love to smile and laugh, and a quick learner! |

I'm ready do do some long distance adventures! Since graduating college in '09 I've been working, traveling and volunteering from Vietnam (and around South East Asia) to France and Rome and home in CA in between. Ready to contribute to a crew! My experience: I sailed FJs on UCLA Sailing Team (class of 09). 30-40 ft mono-hulls in LA and San Francisco Bay. Certified to sail small cats (2008). Also crewed a 40 foot boat in Sea of Cortez, Mexico. Most recently have been sailing my friends 35 footer in SF bay. Looking for some long distance racing or cruising opportunities! I've been sailing since I was 12! Looking to take it up a notch and do some long distance! Lots of friends who are embarking on crossings (Caribbean, Australia) so I have insight on the importance of finding a compatible and able crew. |
